Completed in 2000, the dream of original owners, Dennis and Cindy Pryor, was to design a lavish family home fit for royalty, reminiscent of the English countryside. The estate house’s initial planning and conceptualization began with The Pryors’ interior design firm sourcing furnishings and artwork across Europe, about four to five years before breaking ground on the property. The Pryors and their son spent approximately ten years living in the 38,000 square foot estate house before selling the property. Dover Hall underwent a significant transition from being a private residence to an exclusive luxury events venue in 2014. The Pryors even left about 90% of the estate’s originally sourced furnishings behind, juxtaposing a unique blend of history, authenticity, and character to the modern construction of the house.

BEHIND the vision
Ultimately we’ll create images that evoke emotion, through portraiture, body language, and expression. Imagine dreamy editorial scenes that are not just visually stunning, but also influenced by the natural elements of wind, water, fire, and earth. Symbolically, water represents our emotions. When we dream of bodies of water there are so many influences from our waking life. We’ll also incorporate elements of wind, using drapery and movement to create a dramatic, captivating scene for your feeds. In contrast to the dream-like sets, we’ll apply those techniques for a more realistic and romantic wedding scene, incorporating the warm glow of candles, organic textures, and floral to create an intimate, true-t0-life atmosphere that has honors the elements of earth, and fire. The venue its offers so much variety as far as a backdrop, and we’ll have the time to incorporate all the beautiful details of this venue into our portraits. This project has incredible potential to inspire and evoke emotions in your audience, and that’s exactly what we’ll make happen!
